It is very simple: Dominique Strauss-Kahn lost and Nafissatou Diallo won.
Accused of sexual assault by Diallo, a Sofitel Hotel housekeeper in Manhattan, the French Socialist and ex-IMF chief decided to settle the case to no doubt avoid facing an open court of law where his sordid deeds would have been relentlessly exposed. Details of the deal will not be revealed but the agreement in favor of Diallo is believed to be in the millions of dollars. Thus ends a legal battle that began in May 2011.
The Dulles NOW Executive Committee congratulates Ms. Diallo's attorneys for the splendid work done in the face of the extensive and internationally orchestrated press support of Strauss-Kahn.
We applaud the formidable Nafissatou for her courage, her determination and the dignity she displayed when subjected to the sickening smear campaign originated from France by Strauss-Kahn powerful and misguided political friends.
Bravo Ms. Diallo!
