NEW YORK CITY BOARD OF EDUCATION Attn: Harold Levy Chancellor of the New York City Public School FAX: (718) 935-4791
Sir: I am faxing you pursuant to the "Regulation of the Chancellor," issued 9/05/00 and specifically to the subject of Security in the Schools. The regulation superceded Chancellor's Regulation A-412 dated October 1, 1979.
This communication references Sect. II - Notification and Reporting Requirements for School-Related Crimes and Incidents. "The following sets forth the notification and reporting requirements that must be followed when a school-related crime or incident has been committed. School-related crimes and incidents are those which occur on or near school property (e.g., in front of the building, or which occur off school property but which have a nexus to the school, e.g., involving students or staff from the same school). In addition to the notification requirements set forth below, where a serious school-related criminal, non-criminal, and/or medical incident occurs which may have public health and safety implications or is newsworthy (e.g., shootings, bomb scares, bus accidents, attempted suicides), the superintendent's designee must contact the Board of Education's Emergency Information Center (EIC) at (718)935-3210. (Please refer to Chancellor's Special Circular No. 7, dated January 7, 1999.)
Subsection A, No. 3 of Section II – Sexual Misconduct Committed By Board of Education Employees. "Every employee and officer of the Board of Education has an affirmative obligation to report immediately to his/her principal/supervisor and the SCOI any information concerning sexual misconduct involving students by Board of Education officers, employees, or others connected with school programs or services, such as volunteers. This obligation extends to sexual misconduct on and off school premises. The principal/supervisor must contact the student's parent. THE PRINCIPAL/OFFICE HEAD/SUPERINTENDENT SHALL NOT GATHER ANY INFORMATION OR CONDUCT AN INVESTIGATION OF THE ALLEGATIONS. Where the alleged misconduct constitutes a crime, the principal/supervisor must notify the police."
Some of us at FreeRepublic.com have been sending information to Principal Mindy Chermak at the Professional Performing Arts School regarding a very disturbing situation. At the graduation ceremony on June 26 there is a man scheduled to speak who should not be anywhere near your campus or students. The reasons that he should be banned include the following:
Under oath, Juanita Broaddrick has accused him of raping her. Under oath, Kathleen Willey has accused him of sexual assault. He settled a federal sexual lawsuit filed against him by a state employee in Arkansas for $850,000. He was guilty of committing perjury. He had his law license revoked for five years.
We have provided Ms. Chermak detailed information about the scheduled speaker's outrageous activities relative to the abuse of women. The LONDON SUNDAY TIMES has just reported that when he was recently is Oslo, Norway a 19-year-old girl presented him with a tulip. He gave her a hug and said, "You're too beautiful to only get a hug."
Yes, the scheduled speaker is William Jefferson Clinton. He is considered a sexual predator by many people including DullesNOW, the Northern Virginia chapter of the National Organization for Women. Under oath, women have testified regarding rape and sexual assault by him. Katherine Prudhomme, herself a rape survivor (not by Clinton), called Ms. Chermak to give her information about Clinton but Ms. Chermak hung up on her.
This fax is being publicly posted on FreeRepublic.com. With further exposure on DullesNOW.org, it will probably be viewed by hundreds of thousands of people. We are notifying you before an emergency occurs and hope you will take the necessary action to prevent a sexual predator from speaking to your graduates. There may even be a protest of the commencement if this sexual predator is allowed to speak. Please stop this outrage now.
Sincerely, Doug from Upland - www.FreeRepublic.com
