Al-Ittihad, the Arabic mouthpiece for the Israeli Communist party, published an article titled "Worse than Your Husband's Prostitution, You Senator Hillary Zion." The article, that was signed by the pseudonym Shahed Abd Al-Haqq ["Witness Servant of the Truth"], is a reaction to the press conference held by Senator Clinton in New York with the parents of an American citizen who was murdered in the recent Jerusalem suicide bombing in which she called for Arafat to end the "campaign of violence targeted at innocent families and children":
"We will not be surprised or shocked if the Senator, wife of the former American president, Hillary Clinton, changes her surname to Zion, Moishele, or Sharoni. Simultaneously with sexual prostitution and corruption, chronic political prostitution spreads in the US ruling circles. Since Hillary Clinton was elected congresswoman [sic] for the state of New York, she has been practicing a kind of political prostitution that is even worse than her husband's sexual debauchery."
In order to appease the Zionist lobby and win its support and the votes of the big New York Jewish community in the next election, Hillary adopts the positions of the most right-winged Zionist forces who are the most hostile to the Palestinian people and its rights; [these forces] also support the policies of Sharon's government of catastrophes which is soiled with blood from the many massacres it commited against the children and the people of Palestine in the West Bank, in Gaza, and in occupied East Jerusalem."
"Last Monday, she held a show whose purpose was to absolve the criminal and the henchman and put the blame on the bleeding victim. Along with a group of Zionists, including two of the victims of the martyrdom operation in Jerusalem, she demonstrated in front of the UN headquarters in New York. Clinton's wife was the main speaker."
"What kind of slander came out of the mouth of Hillary Zion? She insolently and brazenly repeated the words of Sharon and his propaganda apparatuses who spread Israeli lies. She demanded that President Yasser Arafat 'stop the abominable terror attacks he leads against innocent mothers and children!!' She called on American congressmen to pressure Arafat 'so he would stop the incitement, the violence, and the terror' and ended her inciting and poisonous drivel with the statement about 'how important it is to stand by our democratic friend in the Middle East!!'"
"We are not surprised by the position of this political whore - a position that turns the facts upside down in order to win the love and support of the Zionist lobby in the US. Hundreds of martyrs and tens of thousands of wounded, children, women, and the elderly of the Palestinian people, are victims of organized state-sponsored terror, massacres, and the escalation of the bloody crimes of the Sharon-Peres-Ben Eliezer-Mofaz government and the gangs of settlers."
This pure blood has not mobilized the 'humane' feelings of Senator Hillary. Her standing by the aggressive wolf and against the victim is no different than the position of the American government and its president, George W. Bush. The slander of the wife of Clinton emphasizes what we always say: That the American Administration is the partner of the Israeli strategic ally in the escalation of Israeli bloody aggression against the Arab Palestinian people and in the continuing conspiracy against the fulfillment of legitimate Palestinian rights. Your positions have been exposed, you Miss Clinton."(1)
